Chiplun : 5th Nov., 2020: Eighteen-year-old college student Master Sahil Surve
showed presence of mind and saved a drowning girl. The boy was on his way home
on his cycle and was passing the bridge of Vashishthi river by 5 p.m. yesterday, after
his college. He heard a cry for help and immediately stopped on the bridge and saw a
9-year-girl drowning in the river. He immediately jumped into the water and saved her
life. The girl was taken to the city hospital in Chiplun. Sahil was praised for his act of
bravery by the citizens of Chiplun and nearby villages.
