At 273k the density of gaseous oxide of 2 bar pressure is same as that of N2 at 5 bar. Calculate the molecular mass of oxide?.

or, P = mRT/MV (where m is the given mass and M is the molecular mass)

or, P = DRT/M (Where D is density = m/V)

Now, according to question,

P₁/P₂ = D₁M₂/D₂M₁

Also, D₁ = D₂,

P₁/P₂ = M₂/M₁

(I can't add other subscript, so consider 1 as that of Nitrogen gas and 2 as that of gaseous oxide)

M₂ = 5 x 28/2 = 70g/mol
