Mole fraction of methanol and acetic acid is same, 0.5.

Explanation:

Suppose mole fraction of methanol = X_{A} ,

mole fraction of acetic acid = X_{B}

Molecular weight of methanol = 32

Molecular weight of acetic acid = 32

X_{A} = number of moles of A / ( number of moles of A+number of moles of B)

Number of moles of A = Weight/ Molecular weight = 8/32 =0.25

X_{A} = 0.25/(0.25+0.25) = 0.5

X_{B} = number of moles of B / ( number of moles of A+number of moles of B)

Number of moles of B = 15/60 =0.25

X_{B} = 0.25/(0.25+0.25) = 0.5
