Hello Dear,

◆ Answer -

P°(Methanol) = 334 units

P°(ethanol) = 135 units

Explanation -

Let P1 & P2 be partial pressures of methyl alcohol & ethyl alcohol. And consider x as mole fraction of methyl alcohol.

Vapor pressure of the mixture is given by -

P = (P1-P2)x + P2

Comparing this with P = 199x + 135,

P2 = 135 units

P1-P2 = 199

P1 = 199 + 135

P1 = 334 units

Therefore, individual vapor pressures of methyl alcohol & ethyl alcohol are 334 units & 135 units respectively.

Hope this helped you.
