Answer:

Clock is a whole circle nd we know that measure of a whole circle = 360°

and measure of half circle =180°

so half circle of a clock is 6 o'clock

and between the two numbers 5 and 6 there are 5 small dots or minutes in a clock..

let us consider each small dot or minute =1°

so 5 dots =5°

so if 6o clock = 180° and there are 5 small dots between 5 and 6 which = 1° then

5 o clock = (180–5)°

= 175°

As we know that 5 o clock which is more than 90° but less than 180° is an obtuse angle and the other angle forming is a reflex angle whose measure will be more than 180° but less than 360°

So the reflex angle = (360–175)°

= 185°

Hence the measure of the obtuse angle is 175° and the reflex angle formed on a clock showing 5oclock is 185° respectively
