Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let x be the total no. of vehicles parked

no. of cars = 50% of x

= 50x/100

= 5x/10

no. of motorcycles = 30% of x

= 30x/100

= 3x/10

and no. of vans = 40

but,

no. of vans + no. of motorcycles + no. of cars

= x

=> 40 + 5x/10 + 3x/10 = x

=> 40 + (5x + 3x)/10 = x

=> 40 + 8x/10 = x

=> (400 + 8x)/10 = x

=> 400 + 8x = 10x

=> 400 = 10x - 8x

=> 400 = 2x

=> 400/2 = x

=> x = 200

therefore no. of motorcycles = 3x/10

= (3 × 200)/10

= 600/10

= 60

cars remaining if 40 cars left = 5x/10 - 40

= (5×200)/10 - 40

= 1000/10 - 40

= 100 - 40

= 60

percentage of cars remaining = (60/200) × 100

= (3/10) × 100

= 300/10

= 30%

Answer:

the percentage of vans =20%

so 20%=40 vehicles

so 100% percent would be 40×5=200

so 30% were bike

so the number of bike were 30/100×200

=60 so the number of were 60
