At a car park 50% of the vehicles parked were cars .30% were motorcycles and the rest of the 40 vehicles were vans .calculate the number of motorcycle parked there?if 40 car left the car park ,what percentage of the vehicle parked there were cars?

50%=cars

30%=motorcycles

50%+30%=80% 100% -80%=20%

remaining vehicles ,i.e.,vans =40

remaining percent=20%

so,40 vehicles =20%

number of motorcycles=by applying unitary method

40 20%

x 30%

40 x 30% =20x

1200 =20x

x =1200/20

x=60

=Number of motorcycles are 60.

new percent of cars=50% - 20% (Because 40 vehicles =20%)

=30%

=20% cars are there now.
