At a certain height a shell at rest explodes into two equal fragments. one of the fragments receives a

One fragment recieves a horizontal velocity of 30i^

the momentum of a system is conserved so the other fragment will move with same velocity but in opposite direction -30i^

vi^=30i^-10j^

vi^=- 30i^-10j^
