At a given instance thrte are 25% undecayed radioactive nuclei in a sample .after 10 secound the no of uundecayed nuclei reduces to 12.5%.calculate the
1) mean life
2)the time in which the number of undecayed nuclei will reduce to 6.25%of the reduced number

Anonymous: Reduction to 6.25% of reduced number => (No/8) becomes (1/16)(No/8) => Number of half lives required = 4 => Total time required = 10 X 4 = 40s
