p1V1 / T1 = p2 V2 / T2

We are given that T1 is -11 degree Celsius. We are also given that at a temperature the pressure reduces to 75 % of the initial value and volume increases to 40 % of the initial value. Thus p2 = 0.75p1 and  V2 = 0.4V1 . We now have to find T2. Substituting the values of p2 and V2 in equation (1), we get

 

p1V1 / (-11) = p2 V2 / T2 = 0.75p1 X 0.4V1 / T2

This gives T2 = -3.3  

Thus the temperature would be -3.30 Celsius.
