Let us consider x number of bulbs are connected in parallel connection

Then according to P=VI

Power of 1 bulb= 75W (given)

Power of 75 bulbs= 75*x

From the sum,

P=VI

Or, 75x= 220*100

Or, x= 293

Ans: 293 bulbs could be switched on at the same time if they all are connected in parallel.

Answer:

Given, Current supplied to house = 100 A

Voltage supplied to house = 220 V

P = VI

P = 220 × 100

P = 22000 W

Power of light bulbs = 75 W

No. of bulbs could be switched = 22000/75

= 293 bulbs (approx.)
