Answer:

One bag of peanuts is $2.93 and one bag of almonds is $4.66

Step-by-step explanation:

Take one bag of peanuts as ‘x’ and one bag of almonds as ‘y’

According to the question,

(3x + 4y =  27.45) and (5x + 6y = 24.05)

Multiply the first equation with 5 and the second equation with 3 to get the value of x as equal, I.e. 15x

(15x + 20y = 137.45) and (15x + 6y = 72.15)

By subtracting the first equation with the second equation we get

14y = 65.30, thus implying, y= $4.66

Substituting the value of y with (3x + 4y = 27.45) and further simplifying  we get

X= $ 2.93

Therefore, one bag of peanuts is $ 2.93

                  One bag of almonds is $4.66
