Marked price of brand A = Rs. 14,000

Price of brand A after a discount of 15% :-

 = \texttt{14000 - } \frac{\texttt{15}}{\texttt{100}} \texttt{ \: × \: 14000}

 = \texttt{14000 - } \frac{\texttt{15×14000}}{\texttt{100} }

 = \texttt{14000 \:  - \: }    \frac{\texttt{210000}}{\texttt{100} }

 = \texttt{14000 - 2100}

 =\texttt{\color{hotpink}Rs. 11900}

Price of brand A after discount = Rs. 11,900

Cost of brand A after a sales tax of 15% :-

 = \texttt{11900  \: + \:  } \frac{\texttt{15}}{\texttt{100}} \texttt{ \: × \: 11900}

 =\texttt{ 11900 + } \frac{\texttt{15×11900}}{\texttt{100} }

 = \texttt{11900 + }  \frac{\texttt{178500}}{\texttt{100} }

 =\texttt{ 11900 + 1785}

 =\texttt{ \color{hotpink}Rs. \: 13685}

So, the final price of brand A = Rs. 13,685

Original price of brand B = Rs. 12,000

Price of brand B after a VAT of 15% :-

 = \texttt{12000 + } \frac{\texttt{15}}{\texttt{100}} \texttt{ \: × \: 12000}

 =\texttt{ 12000 + } \frac{\texttt{15×12000}}{\texttt{100} }

 =\texttt{ 12000 + } \frac{\texttt{180000}}{\texttt{100} }

 = \texttt{12000 + 1800}

 = \texttt{\color{hotpink}Rs. \: 13800}

So, the final price of brand B = Rs. 13,800

So, the selling price of brand A is cheaper than the selling price of brand B .

Therefore, Brand A will be cheaper to buy .
