at a particular time, the shadow of a building and tree are 25 m 30 m respectively. if the height of the tree is 90 m, what is the height of the building.​

Lets call the height of the tower to be x metres.

Since it is measured at the same time, the shadow cast by any vertical object must be equally proportional.

The units(cm and m) don’t matter as this is a matter of proportion.

(Shadow/object) stick = (Shadow/object) tower

8/10 = 30/x

x = 10/8 multiplied by 30, which = 300/8

x = 37.5

Hence the height of the tower is 37.5 metres.
