at a particular time the shadow of a pole and a building are 1.7m and 7.3m respectively.If the height of the building is 21.9m.Find the height of the pole.​

Let us assume it to be 90 degree.

Then in case of the building tanθ = perpendicular/base = 29.2/7.3 = 4.

or, it will be the same for that in case of the pole.

Therefore, 4 = (height of the pole / length of the shadow)

or, height of the pole = 4 x 1.7 = 6.8m (Ans)
