Since the time is same, trigonometric ratio between height and lengths of shadows of objects will be same.
height of pole / length of shadow of pole = height of tower / length of shadow of tower
height of pole / 20 = 48 / 30
height of pole = 48 * 20 / 30
height of pole = 32m

The height of the pole is 32 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Here, height of the tower = 48 m

the shadow of a pole = 20 m

the shadow of a tower = 30 m

Since angle  θ  will be same in both cases

tan \theta = \frac{opposite}{adjacent} = \frac{h}{20}=\frac{48}{30}

h=\frac{20\times48}{30}

⇒ h =32 m.

Hence  the height of the pole is 32 m.
