At a rugby match, the ratio of children to adults is 2 : 3 There are 80 children in the crowd.
Each adult ticket costs £8
Each child ticket costs a quarter of the adult ticket.
Work out the total money made from ticket sales.

240x =  2x2

2x ( x-120 ) = 0

either 2x = 0 or x = 120

Total adult =  120

Total money made from ticket sale through adult

= 120 X £8

= £960

Total money made from ticket sales

= £960 + £160

= £1120
