This stage is called saturation point. This is because, all the free spaces in solvent are already completely occupied by the salt

Salt won't dissolve in the water when =>

1)It becomes Saturated. At this point, the solvent is unable to dissolve more solute in it. This point is called Point of saturation.

2)In simple words or can be said as the degree of extension to which something can dissolve or mixed.

3)It includes two terms to be remembered carefully=>

a)Solute

-It is the substance that is to be dissolved.

b)Solvent

-It is the substance in which substance is to be dissolved.

4)For showing saturation of solutes in Solutions.

The solution can be categorized on the basis of saturation as=>

i)Saturated solution

-When a solvent has dissolved as much solute it can in normal room temperature then it is said to be Saturated solution.

ii)Unsaturated solution

-When a solvent can dissolve more solute in it in room temperature then it is said to be an Unsaturated solution.

ii)Super-Saturated solution.

-When a solvent has dissolved as much as solute it can in increased temperature then it cannot dissolve more solute at any situation and this state of saturation is called Super saturation.

Extra Information

For showing whether a carbon

the compound has single or multiple bonds in it.

On the basis of the presence of H2 in the carbon compound or can be categorized as =>

i)Saturated carbon compound

-It includes Alkane

ii)Unsaturated Carbon Compound

-It includes Alkene(double bond) and Alkyne(triple bond).
