At a test cricket match 2/7 of spectators were in a covered place while 15000 are open. Find the total number of spectators

2/7 were covered
People in open=7/7-2/7=5/7
No of people in open =15000
Let total no of spectators be x
So,
5/7x=15000
X=15000×7/5
X=21000

Answer 2

Let teh total number of spectators be x

So 2x/7 are covered 

Therefore number of spectators uncovered that is in open = x -2x/7 =5x/7

According to question, 

5x/7=15000 = x = 21000


Hence 21000 is the answer
