At an apartment in
Lucknow, 6 security guards Aman, Bimal, Charan, Deepak,
Ehsaan and Famid guard the apartment for at least 1 of
the 3 time-shifts- Morning, Noon and Evening. It is also
known that:
1. Only 1 guard guards the apartment in any particular
shift.
2. Aman can work only in the Morning shift.
3. Each of Bimal and Charan can work only in the
morning and the noon shifts but not in the evening
shift.
4. Ehsaan can work in the morning and evening shifts
but not in the noon shift.
5. Deepak can work in the noon and the evening shifts
but not in the morning shift.
6. Famid can work only in the evening shift.
Mr. Dubey, the Secretary of the Apartment Council sched-
ules the duty of these 6 guards satisfying the following
conditions:
A. In a week any guard does not guard the building for
more than 2 times in the same shift and not more than
3 times in total
B. Any guard can guard the apartment at most 1 time
in a single day.
If all the above conditions cannot be met for any day of the
week, then no guard will come on that day.
