Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

At an election 7800 people voted Democrats, Socialists or Republicans in the ratio 4:3:5.

To find:-

How many people voted Republicans?

Solution:-

Total number of people voted in an election =7800

The ratio of the peole voted to Democrats ,Socialists,Republicans

=4:3:5

Let the number of people voted Democrats be 4x

Le the number of people voted Socialists be 3x

Let the number of people voted Republicans be 5x

Total votes =4x+3x+5x=12x

Total votes=12x=7800

=>x=7800/12

=>x=650

Now

Number of people voted Democrats =4(650)=2600

Number of people voted Socialists

=3(650)=1950

Number of people voted Republicans

=5(650)=3250

Solution:-

Number of people voted to Republicans =3250
