At sea level, water boils at 100 degree C but as elevation increases, this temperature is lowered. For every 500-foot increased elevation, the temperature is lowered by 0.5 degree C. Adding 58 grams of salt to 1L of water only raises the boiling point by 0.5 degrees C. And these 58 grams is approximately equal to 2.32 tbsp of salt.
