Correct Question:

At an examination in which maximum marks are 500. K got 10% less than L, L got 25% more than M and M got 20% less than N. If K got 360 marks what percentage of marks was obtained by N ?

A) 80 B) 87 C) 78 D) 76

Answer :

80%

Solution :

We have to find the Mark's obtain by N

So Let Mark's contained by N be x

M Mark's = 0.80x

L Mark's = 25 (0.80x)

K marks = (0.90) (25)(0.80x)

= 0.9x

0.9x = 360x = 400

Therefore , Percentage of Mark's obtain by N

=

 \frac{400 \times 100}{500}

= 80% .

Hence, 80% is the correct Answer.
