1) Andaman is an island, it is known for its Natural heritage and beauty. Many species of Animals and plants are found in this island.

2) The shell which is an protective covering of Snail is being threatened and Snail has became threatened species due to over exploitation of their shells.

3)The shells which is over exploited, results in the death of the Snails. Because, their outercovering shell is no more hence they cannot survive.

Therefore, to protect and conserve the snails species the authorities at Andaman do not allow tourists to collect shells from beaches, which is a good work to protect Nature.
