Answer:

1) Henry Cuyler Bunner says that planting a tree is an act of goodness .So the person who plants aims the goodness Of Mother land. The One who plants, is concerned about the future of earth without plants. He planted trees so that humans can get food, sap, wood for their use and much more products .The Person who plants holds the future progress of mankind. This inspires him to plant tree for the betterment of today’s society as well as the future generation. He gets self satisfaction by doing this heavenly deed.

2)Henry Cuyler Bunner is the poet asking the question. The poet does not ask the question to anybody directly. It is a question to draw the reader's attention to the importance of planting trees. He himself answers the question. According to the extract the man who plants a tree plants 'a friend of sun and sky, and home for birds and animals near heaven. '

3)According to the extract, the two things that the man will do by planting the trees, are:

(i)The man will "plant a friend of the sun and the sky".

(ii)The man will open up a breach between the mankind and the nature and both can benefit from each other. The mankind will be soothed by the breezes. Planting trees is essential.
