Explanation:
- Jerome's presence was irritating him; both Harris and George packed pies at the bottom and put heavy things on them thus smashing them. And then Harris sat on butter and both George and Harris could not find it. Thus, they created so much of mess while packing. Jerome was the best packer among the three friends.
- Fate of Harris and George:
- They put the pack of butter on the chair. Harris sat on it unintentionally and they were not able to find it when required. They went around the room looking for it and in the end found it held to Harris' trousers and coped to pack it in the teapot.
- Montmorency a dog had been anther trouble for them in packing. A dog feels his day has not been wasted if someone throws thing on his head and scolds him. He feels pride if people stumble over him and curse him for an hour. Montmorency got into the hampers; put his leg into the jam.
