At constant temperature if the pressure of a fixed mass of gas is doubled what happens to its volume ? Which law governs this behavior of gases?

Ideal gases, follow the law
                   P V / T  = constant
At constant temperature : P V = constant
So if Pressure doubles, V halves ie,., becomes 1/2 of its original volume.

There is another equation for Adiabatic process (where is no energy flow between our system and environment) =>  P times Volume raised to power gamma = constant time Temperature.
