At high altitudes, the pressure cooker is an essential kitchen tool. By cooking under pressure you are in effect increasing the atmospheric pressure and therefore, increasing the boiling temperature of water. Food will cook faster and more thoroughly.

❤.WHY PRESSURE COOKER IS USED FOR COOKING FOOD ON HILLS ...?

\huge\mathfrak\red{{ANSWER.....!!}}

  • At high altitudes, atmospheric pressure is low.
  • So at hills , water boils at lower temperatures when compared to that at sea level.
  • Hence the pressure cooker is used for cooking food , so that boiling point of water can be increased by increasing the pressure above the atmospheric pressure.
