Explanation:

When the solution of an acid is diluted then its strength decreases as there is decrease in the concentration of hydronium (H3O+)ions. Diluting with water of an acid causes lowering of concentration of hydronium ion because of adding H2O but there are no excess H+ to make it (H3O+).

Answer:

Hey dear,

See, The concentration of H+ ion decreases when the solution of an acid is diluted.

Cause on adding water the H+ ions of Acid and OH- ions of water react to form water molecules.

Thus the concentration of H+ion reduces.
