The first instance is when a pupil of America asked Bismillah Khan to start a school in US. He also told that he would create the atmosphere of banaras by replicting its temples. Then, Bismillah Khan refused the invitation by asking if he could transport the river Ganga there.

The second instance is when in an interview,he was asked that during partition, he could go to Pakistan, but he refused by saying that he could never leave temples and river ganga of banaras.

Bismillah Khan loves India and Benaras from the bottom of his heart.He says that he misses the Holy Ganga and India when he goes Abroad.While in Mumbai, he thinks of only Benaras and the Holy River.And when he is in Benaras, He remembers the unique Mattha of Dumraon.
