To find :

The temperature at one hour later

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Write down temperature at midnight

At midnight, the temperature was - 5°C

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the temperature at one hour later

At midnight, the temperature was - 5°C

Now , One hour later it was 2° warmer

So one hour later the temperature will be increased by 2°C

∴ The temperature at one hour later

= - 5°C + 2°C

= - 3°C
