At night land surface is cooler so there is a high pressure over the land than in the sea surface. So as we all know,Air /Wind moves from high pressure to low pressure areas so at night the wind blows from land to sea known as land breeze

MIB: thanks
MIB: does it effect wind direction
Dhansu: It is vigorous if temperature variation is more but is less vigorous if difference is little
MIB: ok
MIB: Temperature of the land surface is higher than the temperature of the sea surface during the day.use the ideas of convection currents to suggest what
happens to air above the land and the air above the sea?
Dhansu: Ok
Dhansu: Thanks for the suggestion
MIB: please answer tis question

at night the land surface is cooler and the sea surface is hotter. so air above the sea expands and rises up creating a low pressure belt whereas land air is cold and sinks down creating a low pressure belt. so the air moves from land towards the sea as air moves from high pressure to low pressure areas. this is also called land breeze.so it affects wind direction as it moves from land towards sea.
