Answer : The order of reaction is, 6

Explanation :

Formula used :

n=\frac{\log(\frac{t_{1/2(1)}}{t_{1/2(2)}})}{\log(\frac{a_2}{a_1})}+1

where,

n = order of reaction = ?

t_{1/2}_{1} = half-life of a substance at initial concentration = 1000 min

t_{1/2}_{2} = half-life of a substance at final concentration = 25 min

a_{1} = initial concentration = X

a_{2} = initial concentration = 2X

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get the order of reaction.

n=\frac{\log{(\frac{1000min}{25min})}}{\log{(\frac{2X}{X})}}+1

n=6

Therefore, the order of reaction is, 6
