Let the present age of Nisha = x years

Then, the present age or Asha = \sf{( {x}^{2}  + 2)years}

When Nisha grows to her mother's present bage, the increase in age

= \sf{( {x}^{2}  + 2) - x = ( {x}^{2}  - x + 2)years}

After \sf{( {x}^{2}  - x + 2)years} ,Asha's age according to the question would be

\sf{( {x}^{2}  + 2) + ( {x}^{2}  - x + 2) = 10x - 1}

\longrightarrow\sf{ {2x}^{2}  - 11x + 5 = 0}

\longrightarrow\sf{(2x - 1)(x - 5) = 0}

As x ≠ \sf{\frac{1}{2}} ,so x = 5.

Hence, the present age of Nisha = 5 years

And the present age of Asha = \sf{{5}^{2}+2} = 27 years
