At present 6 fundamental rights are there.

EXPLANATION:

Constitution of India has granted every single individual of this country with some of the basic rights which are called as Fundamental Rights. These rights are given to all the individuals without any discrimination on basis of caste, race, sex or religion.

At present they are six fundamental right, and they are "Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right against Exploitation", "Right to freedom of Religion, Cultural and Educational Rights and Right to Constitutional Remedies". These are called fundamental rights because without these rights the growth of an individual is not possible.

And, it is also given to people to establish the principles of political democracy and to prevent the state from becoming an authoritarian country or a despotic rule. It also saves us from the tyranny of any arbitrary legislative, executive principles.
