The present age of Kavita is twice of Sunitha
Therefore Kavitha's age = 2x years

After 8 years
Age of Kavitha = 2x + 8 years
Age of Sunitha = x + 8 years

Given that after 8 years the ratio of their ages is 22:13
Therefore
2x + 8: x + 8 = 22:13
(2x + 8)/(x + 8) = 22/13
26x + 104 = 22x + 176
4x = 72
x = 18 years

The present ago Sunitha = x = 18 years
The present age of Kavitha = 2x = 36 years

So, option (a) is correct.
