At room temperature a student sets up the apparatus to determinethe melting point of ice .He takes beaker half filled ice and dips a Mercurythermometerin it .The correct observation: temperature falls ,reaches 0 degree c , then it remains constant even after the whole of the ice has melted the temperature falls in the beginningbut rising as soon as he ice starts melting temperature falls, reaches 0 degree c and remain constant only as long as both ice and water are present in it
