total eggs brought = 12×12=144
cost of 1 dozen egg = Rs9
cost of one egg = 9/12
cost of 144 eggs = 144×9/12
=12×9
= 108Rs
no of broken eggs = 12+6=18eggs
eggs remaining = 144-18
= 126
cost of selling 1 dozen eggs = 12
cost of 1 eggs = 1 Rs
cost of selling 126 eggs = 126×1
=Rs126
selling price=126>cost price = 108
therefore there is a gain.
gain percent= SP-CP/CP ×100
126-108/108×100
= 18/108×100
=180/108
= 1.66666.......
= 1.67%
it's best answer and correct also.
