A chemical equation must be balanced to indicate the quantity of reactants needed to make the product, otherwise it'd be unstable:

ex. SnO2 + H2 → Sn + H2O

(add 2 to H) SnO2 + H2 → Sn + 2 H2O

SnO2 + 2 H2 → Sn + 2 H2O (now add 2 to balance both H2's)

Answer:

SnO2(s) + 2 H2(g) → Sn(s) + 2 H2O(g)

hope it helps plz mark brainly...
