Answer: 7:4

Explanation:

N2o4 = 2 NO2

Initially N2O4 = 1 and 2 NO2 = 0

The equation will be

1- x for N2O4

2x for 2 NO2

Total number of moles

1-x + 2x = 1+ x

For total pressure p1

P ( N2O4) = 1-x / 1+x

P ( NO2) = 2x / 1+x

Case 1 here x is 40%

After putting the values

P( N2O4) = 3/7

P ( NO2) = 4/7

Hence K = 16/21 p1

Case 2 here x = 50%

P ( N2O4) = 1/3

P( NO2) = 2/3

Hence K = 4/3 P2

Now dividing equation 1 and 2

P1/p2 = 7/4
