Answer:

Answer is 35% per annum hope this helps

Let the sum of money be x.

Therefore, Simple Interest = 7/4x

Time = 5yrs

Therefore, Interest = S. I. * 100/Principal * time

Or, 7/4x * 100/x*5

Or, 7x/4*1/x*20

Or, 7/4*20 = 35

Hence, interest is 35% p.a.

Answer:

Interest = (700/4)-100 = Rs. 300/4; Hence, Rate = Total interest/ given time = 300/4*6 = 12(1/2)%. A sum of money becomes 7/4 of itself in 6 years at a certain rate of simple interest.Nov 27, 2018
