So, Length of shadow is x

So, AB =BC = x

Now In ΔABC

Tan\theta =\frac{Perpendicular}{Base}

Tan\theta =\frac{x}{x}

Tan\theta =1

\theta =Tan^{-1}

\theta =45^{\circ}

Hence  sun's altitude at that time is 45°
