Thanks for this question. Please find the answer below:

At stp 16ml of HO₂ is diffused through porous partition in t seconds. 18.76ml of CO₂ will be diffused in the same time and condition.

This can be calculated under the Graham's Law of Diffusion of Gases. According to the law, rate of diffusion is inversely proportional to molar mass of the gas.

This is a question on Graham's law of diffusion.

The formulae is as follows :

RO₂/RCO₂ = √mmCO₂/mmO₂

Molecular mass of CO₂ = 12 + 32 = 44

Molecular mass of O₂ = 32

Doing the substitution we have :

16/R = √44/32

16/R = √1.375

16/R = 1.1726

16 = 1.1726R

R = 16/1.1726

R = 13.64

= 13.64 ml
