At the end of the story Postman becomes a changed person. He now was no more a rude and short tempered person who doesn't care about others' feelings . He now started to feel empathy for others grief. He now no more felt that the letter is just a piece of paper but is something that can set a heart throbbing.
He began to feel sorry for what he did with Ali, the old fellow . One day, Ali went to post office and asked for letter. The postmaster lost his temper and called Ali a pest. But when he was in the same situation and couldn't get any news of his daughter's well - being, he understood Ali's plight (situation) . He was now a changed man. He felt remorse for his behaviour towards Ali and thus wanted, to deliver the letter himself to his grave.

Heya _____
Ques :- At the end of the lesson 'The letter' the postmaster became a changed person. how and why ??
Ans ________________
At the end of this chapter the postmaster changed his whole the rude and bad attitude as in the start of the story he was very rude man who hurt Ali and thought that letter is just a piece of paper and he hadn't any sympathy with him...
But at the end when he didn't get the information of his daughter he was now no more rude and short tempered and was not bad behaving person...
Now he had the sympathy with other person's grief and he wanted to help to others and now he realised the importance of Ali's letter ...
Thank you
