Part of the cake left ⇒ \sf \frac{1}{4}

No. of employees who toke it ⇒ \sf 2

Amount of cake each employe toke ⇒ \sf \frac{1}{4}\div 2

\sf  \frac{1}{4}\div 2

\sf  \frac{1}{4}\times \frac{1}{2}

\sf \frac{1}{8}

∴ Each employee toke \sf \frac{1}{8}th of the cake.

Additional Information

A fraction represents a part of a whole. A fraction consists of two parts namely - numerator and denominator. The numerator is used to represent the part of the whole and the denominator is used to represent the whole number part.

For example ⇒ \sf \frac{6}{10}

Here we can say that 6 is the part of the whole and the whole number is 10.
