Let's be honest- In the past few months, nobody has loved the scent of the wet earth, the greenery of the shrubs and the chirp of birds more than the sailors present here. Nobody has hated the sight of water more than we have. But then, nobody has formed better bonds than we did over the course of this voyage.
The journey was a difficult one, let us all agree. The turbulent weather, the rough winds, the scorching heat of the sun during the day- everything sucked the best of us. But I am proud to proclaim that each one of us came out of the sea as a better and wiser human. In moments when the fear of death was real, we realised that we were nothing but moving masses of flesh with a little bit of intellect; that we'd be gone in a second and the world would not stop. It was in that realisation that we learned humility.
My dear companions, let us not forget what this journey has taught us. No matter how many gallons we vomited, no matter how much we missed the sight of our wives and mothers back home, let us promise that we would not hesitate to grab another opportunity to rule the seas.
