Inaugural Function Speech
Good morning Distinguished Chair, honourable Guests, teachers, students and participants. I, on behalf of ABC School, welcome you to the Annual Science Exhibition.
ABC School proudly conducts this exhibition every year and this is our fifteenth year of hosting it. Participation level has greatly increased over the years. This year we have about 150 participants from various schools of the Eastern zone.
The major attraction of the exhibition this year is the solar model of a miniature solar air-conditioner. Our senior students have designed it with the help of two IIT Professors who are our alumni.
As we all know that we are facing an acute crisis of fuel and the environment is hyper-saturated with pollutants so the need of the hour is an eco-friendly source of energy. Solar energy is the best solution. So the theme of this year’s exhibition is ‘Working with Solar Energy’.
Our distinguished Chair Person is the noted scientist– Dr. V.R Nayar. The other distinguished guests include all the doyens of Science and Technology. I would request all our distinguished guests to come on stage and lit the lamp to inaugurate the Science Exhibition.
