Given :-

length of arc ( radius ) = 6 cm

Angle that subtends = 120°

R.T.P :-

To find the area of sector.....

Proof :-

the formula for finding the area of sector is

 \frac{x}{360}  \times \pi {r}^{2}

Substitute x = 120° ; r = 6 cm ; π = 22/7 ,we get

 \frac{120}{360}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 6 \times 6

By calculation, we get

 \frac{22 \times 2 \times 6}{7}

Finally ,

area \: of \: sector \:  = 37.714  \: {cm}^{2}
