At the local sweet shop, three particularly nice sweets are on special offer. A Sparkle, a Wibbler and a Nobbler together cost 40p. - A Nobbler is over three times the price of a Sparkle. - Six Sparkles are worth more than a Wibbler. - A Nobbler, plus two Sparkles costs less than a Wibbler. Can you determine the price of each type of sweet?

S + W + N = 40
N > 3 S
6 S > W
N + 2 S < W
using the above, we can find that : 3 S < N < 4 S
5 S < W < 6 S
so the minimum of the sum S + W +N will be: 9 S. Nearest sum S+W+N that has integer division is = 10 S = 40 => S = 4.
then 12 < N < 16 and 20 < W < 24
Trying out some possibilities, we get:
Sparkle = 4p, Nobbler = 13p and Wibber = 23p
N > 3 S
6 S > W
N + 2 S < W
using the above, we can find that : 3 S < N < 4 S
