Solution :-

~Here, we’re given the discount % and the discount on a article. Firstly, we will find the marked price by putting the values in formula of discount. After finding the marked price, we can find the selling price of that article.  

Finding the marked price ( MP ) :-

$\sf \bigstar \;\; Discount = \dfrac{ MP \times Discount \% }{100}$

$\sf \implies 75 = \dfrac{ MP \times 15 }{ 100}$

 

$\sf \implies MP \times 15 = 75 \times 100$

 

$\sf \implies 15 \times MP = 7500$

$\sf \implies MP = \dfrac{7500}{15}$

$\sf \implies MP = Rs. \; 500$

Finding the Selling Price ( SP ) :-  

$\sf \bigstar \;\; SP = MP -Discount$  

$\sf \implies SP = 500 -75$

 

$\sf \implies Rs. \; 425$

 Therefore,

• The Marked price of the article is Rs. 500 and the Selling price of the article is Rs. 425
